World Book Day!

It’s World Book Day this Thursday and we’re very excited here at Bertie towers!

World Book Day is all about promoting reading and celebrating books in their many forms.

We thought it would be fun to celebrate our favourite guinea pig stories, so Bertie’s illustrator, Liz has made a super Bertie Guinea Pig mask for you to download, cut out and keep!

Why not make your very own mask using Liz’s template below and be Bertie Guinea Pig on World Book Day?

Ask an adult to help you cut out eye holes and thread some elastic to hold the mask in place.

Most of all, World Book Day is about having lots of fun. We hope you have a fantastic day!

If you live in Northumberland, why not join us at Whitehouse Farm this weekend? On Saturday March 4th I’ll be reading Bertie’s stories to the guinea pigs (and visitors) there to celebrate World Book Weekend. You can even get in for half-price if you come dressed as a story book character!
